Enlighten Yoga is recognized through Yoga Alliance as exceeding all standard courses of study for yoga teacher training. We recognize that teaching yoga is an extension of one’s personal practice, and as such, we are committed to helping those interested in teaching to continue their education at the studio through individual mentorship and personal guidance even after the training ends. We believe yoga is a lifelong path and thus, we meet students at their current level of interest and capacity and help them continue their personal yoga education as they are ready to advance their teaching skills.
We provide guidance in teaching a wide variety of classes to gain practical experience, we offer opportunities to assist classes and improve hands-on adjusting techniques, and we help teachers plan and prepare to lead their own master classes, workshops and private yoga sessions. We are a dedicated yoga school! The staff is highly educated, with a wide range of experience in teaching many types of clientele, so there is bound to be something for you!
Enlighten Yoga is also host a great number of globally and/or nationally recognized yoga teachers, and spiritual masters. Offerings for foundational and advanced teacher trainings include programs developed by Doug Keller, Greg Nardi, Kino Macgregor, Cora Wen, Desiree Rumbaugh and Noah Levine, to name a few. Each year, the yoga calendar is filled with workshops, and trainings.
ENLIGHTEN YOGA TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMS
The Enlighten Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga Studies and Fellowship Program (RYT 200) is a program for practitioners who want to further their knowledge and understanding of yoga, as well as their personal practice. These programs deepen and enhance one’s personal experience, while also providing a strong foundation of practical skills for Yoga teachers.
WHAT SETS OUR PROGRAM APART – Yoga School Philosophy
Enlighten Yoga is dedicated not only to the offering of superior yoga classes to clients, but also to providing yoga teachers with a supportive environment in which they can begin and continue a journey in yoga studies. In addition to our programs offered by our own knowledgable teachers, we offer a wide variety of training modules/weekends from an impressive group of nationally and internationally acclaimed teachers.
Participants are able to use the studio as their “home” learning center – a place where they can work on their own personal asana practice, as well as take advantage of the strong support group through mentors and senior teachers readily available to provide support. We also have developed relationships with nationally and internationally acclaimed/recognized teachers who will bring their knowledge to us through a diverse variety of workshops and teacher trainings.
For those students just starting and desiring to teach (RYT 200), we believe that it is essential to obtain a strong foundation in yoga philosophy, the art of teaching, sequencing and assisting, as well as anatomy. The curriculum is specifically designed to provide a very in-depth program in an effort to instill excellence and confidence in our graduates. The program offers a supportive environment, encouraging skills and insights that lead to exceptional teachers and practitioners who are able to teach safe and creative classes.
Following our RYT 200 program, we offer a 6 month Fellowship Program for those wishing to continue their learning under the guidance of a senior mentor. During this Fellowship Program, trainees are able to use the experience of their mentors for guidance and advice in sequencing, cueing, assisting, as well as continuing to apply yoga to their own lives. Applicants need to be approved for this Program.
For those desiring to go further in their yoga studies, we offer a RYT 300 Program, as well as the only Prenatal Yoga Training Program in North Carolina. In addition, we offer a Yoga for Athletes Program. Please click below for more information of any of these programs.
