Traditional Chinese Medicine and Spring Yin Yoga Practice with Debby Smith

Yin Yoga is rooted in Traditional Chinese Five Element theory. Join me for an afternoon of exploring the Wood element, and the corresponding season of Spring. As yang energy begins to rise during Spring, one begins the process of re-birth, growth and increased activity. You will walk away with an understanding of the meridians associated with this element, as well as the functions they play in the body. Learn the importance of eating in alignment with this season and how lifestyle and diet influence disease in the body. To complete the experience, we will finish with a 75 minute Yin Yoga practice, which will focus on postures for balancing the Wood element.
