Traditional Chinese Medicine and Summer Yin Yoga Practice with Jessica Sachson + Debby Smith

Yin Yoga is rooted in Traditional Chinese Five Element theory. Join us for an afternoon of learning about the Summer element of Fire. This is the most Yang season of all, when nature comes to its full potential. Fire ignites all life and relates to feelings of joy, will of life and wanting to connect with others. You will walk away with an understanding of the meridians associated with this element, what functions they play in the body, and even the importance of eating in alignment with the season.
To complete the experience, we will finish with a 75 minute Yin Yoga practice, which will focus on postures for balancing the Fire element in preparation for summer. All levels are welcome.
This workshop is the first in a series of four.
Each workshop can stand alone and will focus on aligning our bodies with the corresponding season (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring).
