Traditional Chinese Medicine and Fall Yin Yoga Practice with Jessica Sachson + Debby Smith

Yin Yoga is rooted in Traditional Chinese Five Element theory. Join us for an afternoon of exploring the Earth and Metal elements, and their corresponding seasons of late summer and autumn. This is the time of year when we begin to transition from the heat (yang) of summer to the coolness (yin) of autumn. You will walk away with an understanding of the meridians associated with these elements as well as the functions they play in the body. Learn the importance of eating in alignment with the seasons and how lifestyle and diet influence disease in the body. To complete the experience, we will finish with a 75 minute Yin Yoga practice, which will focus on postures for balancing the Earth and Metal elements in preparation for autumn.
