Cost $50 (includes 75 minute practice)
Yin Yoga is rooted in Traditional Chinese Five Element theory. Join us for an afternoon of exploring the Water element, and the corresponding season of winter. Winter is the most yin time of the year. During this season it is appropriate and natural to slow down, rest and reflect in preparation for the growth of the approaching spring season. You will walk away with an understanding of the meridians associated with this element as well as the functions they play in the body. Learn the importance of eating in alignment with the this season and how lifestyle and diet influence disease in the body. To complete the experience, we will finish with a 75 minute Yin Yoga practice, which will focus on postures for balancing the Water element.
This workshop is the third in a series of four. Each workshop can stand alone and will focus on aligning our bodies with the corresponding seasons (summer, autumn, winter, and spring). This workshop is open to all levels and anyone interested in learning more about the holistic Traditional Chinese Five Element approach to health and wellness.Click to see hotels in the area »
